Gutter color matching ·
Matching gutter color before a standing seam install
Before this roof goes on, we hold gutter coil samples against the existing gutters and downspouts so the new ones match what the homeowner already has.
This house is getting a charcoal frost mechanically seamed standing seam roof, and new gutters and downspouts are going on with it. The homeowner wanted the new ones to match what was already there as closely as possible.
So before anything is ordered, someone goes up the ladder with the color chips. From the ground the old gutter reads off-white. Next to a chip, it is plain white that has weathered. The downspout is a different color from the gutter. We photograph each match for the homeowner so nothing about the color is a surprise on install day.
The roof you see here is still the old asphalt. Nothing metal is on yet.

Here's a house we're going to be doing a charcoal frost, mechanical seam, standing seam on. And the homeowner wants, they're going to do gutters and downspouts as well. And they really want to try to match as closely to what they have existing. And you notice they've got a different color downspout to the gutter. So I'm out here to document that and to try to put some coil up gutter coil next to both of them and try to get them as close to a match as possible. So I think honestly, this is just a white. He, he says it's off white. I don't, I think it's off white because it's been weathered. So I think he has, see like up here, it's going to be closer to white and it looks off white there. I think that's going to be, that's going to be pretty darn close to what he's got. I think he's going to be good with that. That's about right. These are all being to shoot. That's pretty close. I think you're looking. Take a picture for him. And then down here, the grays. Yeah. That's the way I don't like that. I think if they went, that's probably it right there. That's
