AkzoNobel's silicone-modified polyester (SMP) coil coating. The 1050 formulation is the AkzoNobel finish we put on most homes.
How I think about this one
Ceram-A-Star 1050 is on most of the roofs we install — standing seam and exposed fastener alike. It is a hard, well-behaved finish that costs a good deal less than a PVDF fluoropolymer and gives up less to it than it used to. Read its chalk-and-fade numbers next to whatever else you are quoted; that comparison is the whole point of this page.
